JUN 22, 2008 (Naperville, IL) Four local professional women were just a small part of the US Women's Triathlon Series stop in Naperville. After an hour delay due to thunderstorms, Lauren was able to escape T1 in the lead and held the lead to win by over two minutes.

MAY 31, 2008 (Terre Haute, IN) The last times Lauren raced the Terre Haute Triathlon was in 1990 and 1992. On her return 16 years later she broke the course record last set in 2004 by 90 seconds on a gusty, warm day. A local article about the race can be found here.

MAY 18, 2008 (Memphis, TN) Another stellar sub-hour 40k (58:44, 25.0 mph) and the fastest bike split helped Masters-aged Lauren place 4th overall in a field of "youngsters" at Memphis in May.

APR 27, 2008 (St Petersburg, FL) The first big race of the year is now history. Lauren felt good about her swim, had an excellent bike especially considering the almost record amount of snowfall (and salt) there was on the roads at home in Wisconsin, and a works-in-progress run. Memphis in May is next.

MAR 9, 2008 (Downers Grove, IL) A change from her previous bike strategy allowed Lauren to win the last race of the Midwest Indoor Tri-Classic Series,and post the best female score for an individual race. The races are scored by total distance swam, biked, and run in the alloted time. The overall series was won by Brianna by less than 2/10ths of a mile over Lauren. Time to head outside!

FEB 24, 2008 (Wheaton, IL) After skipping the second race in the Midwest Indoor Tri-Classic Series, Lauren lined up again at the third race for another and another second place behind Brianna. The final race is March 9th, and Lauren is still in the running for the overall series.

JAN 27, 2008 (Woodridge, IL) Lauren opened her 2008 season with the first race of the annual Midwest Indoor Tri-Classic Series. She finished second to fellow Wisconsin-ite Brianna Boehmer, but dusted off some cobwebs. Her preliminary season and links to results so far are listed on her 2008 Schedule.
